Watching Way Too Much TV For You!

Fall TV 2009: ABC’s Hank

This fall brings new dramas and comedies, new loves, and new hopes, so here is the rundown on what too watch, and what too avoid this fall. Now, the start of the new ABC Wednesdays stars a familiar face Kelsey Grammer but should you watch him in Hank….

Hank1ABC Says:

Kelsey Grammer stars in this timely comedy as Hank Pryor, a titan of industry who suddenly finds himself out of work, almost out of money and around a wife and kids for whom he’s never made much time. Despite his recent setbacks, however, Hank is confident he’s on the road back to the top. He knows he is destined to return to greatness. And he is just not the greatness he imagines.

hank 2The Good: Fraiser was a fine show in its early show, and Back to You was cancelled to soon and both starred a formidable Kelsey Grammer, but…

The Not So Good: Hanks is not good whatsoever. I saw the original and remade pilot which will air, and both you should stay far, far, away. The show is terrible, writing, acting, directing, are all the bottom of the bucket which is too bad since it leads into three really funny comedies which you should wacth on ABC. By the end of watching the 22 minutes of pilot, I wanted that time back. It is a waste of time, and hopefully its departure will lead to something a little more promising like Alyssa Milano’s new ABC comedy Romantically Challenged.

Hank airs starting September 3oth on ABC Wednesdays at 8/7c.
