Watching Way Too Much TV For You!

Today the 17th of February was supposed to be the national day to switch to digital TV, but alas that won’t happen to June 13th. There is a catch, your local broadcasters are allowed to switch today. So make sure to check with your local stations to make sure you are ready. Nonetheless, there is some TV worth watching tonight….

Leverage – 10/9c on TNT  Since December, Nate Ford and his crew have really grown on me. Now on part one of the season finale, I really hope they go out with a bang. Leverage starts its first season decline with hour one tonight but the real finale ends next week. The finale surrounds Nate and his arch enemies, the insurance guy Sterling (Mark Shepard) and the person that really made his son die played by Kevin Tighe (Lost). Should be great!

American Idol – 8/7c on FOX  The voting begins!  The first 12 of 36 contestants perform tonight with three moving forward tomorrow and nine are eliminated (they might get thru when it is wild card night). The first group is: Casey Carlson, Danny Gokey, Michael Sarver, Ricky Braddy, Ann Marie Boskovitch, Stevie Wright, Anoop Desai, Tatiana Del Torro, Jackie Tohn, Brent Keith Smith, Alexis Grace, Stephen Fowler. Personally, I am looking foward to Anne Marie Boskovitch, Jackie Tohn, Casey Carlson, Anoop Desai, Danny Gokey, and Alexis Grace. That is double the amount that can go through. Dang, but lets just hope America gets rid of Tatiana. Please!

The Mentalist – 9/8c on CBS  I have seen this week’s Mentalist (thanks Canada!) and it is a great one. It is all about the dangerous world of country clubs and the murders that happen in them. Also there is some drug trafficking involved. This will be the last one for a couple weeks and Kyle XY’s Marguerite MacIntyre is in it too!

Homeland Security USA – 8/7c on ABC  I urge you check out this really fascinating docudrama about the real live people that keep us safe. It is a great alternative if you are not a fan of American Idol.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit – 10/9c on NBC  When NBC announced that old ADA Alex Cabot played by the amazing Stephanie March was going to return they said February 17th. But in the press release, there was no mention of the awesome gal. I am taking there word for it and recording the far superior L&O. Here is to the return of the best lawyer in NYC!
